Its Mercedes fault. They started the whole 4-door coupe thing with the CLS. To be honest, it seemed a bit like a niche too far when it came out, but Mercedes were right, and the rest of us were wrong. And since the CLS the others have been playing catch-up. From Audi to Volkswagen (I know, same company, but they are alphabetically opposed) every manufacturer seems intent on a 4-door coupe.
In the course of the next twelve months you can expect to see the Aston Martin Rapide, the Porsche Panamer....
