This trip was a whirlwind tour at the least. We left Phoenix at 3PM and got to the site a little after 11PM -- this includes about 10 miles of serious four-wheeling in DEEP sand, in the dark. After camp was set up, we decided we should get some rest since we'd be getting up at 5AM for sunrise...
As soon as we turned out the lights we saw the best milky way I have ever seen -- and its not like this is the first time I've been to ultra-remote dark places....
