iPhone 3G had a stunning opening weekend, stated Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs. It took 74 days to sell the first one million original iPhones, so the new iPhone 3G is clearly off to a great start around the world.
During the opening weekend, Apple also sold more than 10 million application downloads from the App Store. Currently there are over 800 applications available for download with 200 of them being free. About 90% of the apps are available for less than $10.
