Applause. Strobe lights. Fill music. Etc.
And the winner is The Dark Knight. Admittedly as more of a casual film watcher this is 100% the best movie I saw this year. The acting throughout was spot on, they continued to capture the gothic feel of the comics and Heath Ledger. It was always going to be the case that Ledger was honoured for his performance because of circumstances (much in the same way as Nirvana remaining relevant); but he actually was fucking amazing. Better than Jack Nicholson. ....
