Ive been forced back into doing some Java programming of late, which although unfortunate, got me thinking again about programming on Mobile phones - as Java is the platform of choice on most new handsets.
Some investigation showed there is a new Location based API that appeared sometime in 2005 that allows mobile phones to access their GPS co-ordinates and current tower details via the Java API - very cool.
After some headaches installing JDK, J2ME under debian I realised the very latest Java....
