The utility-scale renewable energy technology combines a Stirling engine (which converts heat into electricity) with a large solar collector. You might be blown away. Denmark-based Vestas Wind Systems, the world's largest wind-turbine maker, officially opened its first U.S. manufacturing plant just outside of Windsor, Colorado. Coal cool down. Energy Star will be beefing up the standards ofor washing machines. Teenie Weenie Greenie™ This week's Teenie Weenie Greenie™ was sent in by Malie in Germany. She wanted to recommend Interflush, a flushing device for toilets that lets you use only the water you need. The toilet only flushes when the handle is held down, and stops when the handle is released. They say it can save up to 47% of the water normally used for flushing. Another option for decreasing amount of water you waste flushing is to put a container, or some other object that takes up space, in the tank of your toilet.
