She wanted to recommend Interflush, a flushing device for toilets that lets you use only the water you need. The toilet only flushes when the handle is held down, and stops when the handle is released. They say it can save up to 47% of the water normally used for flushing. Another option for decreasing amount of water you waste flushing is to put a container, or some other object that takes up space, in the tank of your toilet.
