Pitkamaki spears Sdiri in Rome (javelin accident Fri. 13th)

TOIMII! ~ WORKS BEST WITH INTERNET EXPLORER ~ FRIDAY 13TH--French long-jumper Salim Sdiri was rushed to hospital after being speared by a javelin at the IAAF Golden League meeting in Rome. Salim was stood alongside the long jump pit when Finland's Tero Pitkamaki launched his throw. However, the javelin drifted left and appeared to hit Salim in his upper body. Medics immediately attended the scene and Salim was despatched to hospital, with the javelin competition continuing shortly afterwards.
