Maybe if they all close their eyes the bombings, shootings, and burnings will just go away. It appears thats Thailands latest strategy to a violent and growing insurgency in the South.
According Thailands Defense Minister Boonrawd Somtas, the insurgents are on their last legs. Somebody just might want to remind him that on the very day he utter those words to Malaysian officials three Southerners were gunned down and some three thousand children in the South could not go to school due to violence or arson.
Maxwell Book says wishing the problem away will not actually make it go away. But any fool could tell you that. So why cant Thailands military junta get it? Why cant they see that it will take more than a wish upon a star to change course and bring peace in the trouble South.
