Britain's Got Talent - 6 year-old Connie Sings!

"I thought you were fantastic," said Simon. "I only have one question: Was that really you singing?" Pretty and unpretentious Connie Talbot became the star of the latest round of auditions for Britain's Got Talent. During the break Simon moans to the cameras, "It has been unspeakably awful the entire day, I'm not even in the mood to have this conversation", and a very grumpy Simon storms off. Backstage the mood in the holding room is still high and one little girl is hoping to change Simon's mood, 6 year old Connie Talbot. With her Mum waiting in the wings its time for Connie, and her winning toothless smile, to change the judge's moods. Singing Somewhere Over The Rainbow Connie soon bring the smile back to Simon's face, and considering Simon hasn't been impressed with most of the child acts, with even Piers and Amanda referring to him as the "child catcher", she's done well to impress him. Everyone was dead silent as six-year-old Connie gave a pretty marvelous rendition of Judy Garland's Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Simon, "Connie, I'm going to talk to you like an adult because I think you deserve it, but I thought you were fantastic, pitch perfect". I was at least expecting him to have a go about pushy parents or something. She was a little angel was not only beautiful and sweet, but very talented and tuneful. Hope she goes on to win!
