NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboartory in Pasadena, Calif., has sent robotic spacecraft to every known planet in the solar system except Pluto. JPL missions also study the universe beyond our solar system, searching for Earth-like planets around other stars, while others keep a watchful eye on our home planet, Earth.
